Ann Filippis

Ann discovered her passion for acting in 2010 while taking classes at Michigan Actors Studio, under the direction of Rich Goteri. Since then she has appeared in 15 films, in both leading and strong supporting roles. Her work will be seen international as she had the opportunity to work with internationally renowned, German artist/director/filmmaker Chorinna Schnitt, in “Ball Spielen” (Play Ball) shot at the historical Michigan Theater in Detroit. Her most recent project, Ann drastically steps out of her comfort zone playing the lead character “Tiffany” in an artistic drama directed by Andre Rae, Foggy Relations. In contrast Ann plays a pivotal role in her first Faith based, feature length film, Christmas Grace, where she plays the supportive loving wife, and delivers her first “on camera” child.

This past September, Ann was blessed to be chosen to participate and work under the direction of Shiek Mahmud-Bey, in his first Detroit “Collaborations” project, where she performed on stage a dramatic piece from Death of a Salesman.
