Keiona Evans

discovered her love of acting as a teenager when she won first place for her dramatic reading of James Weldon Johnson’s “The Prodigal Son”. She knew she had something special when she received a standing ovation from the audience for her performance. Keiona went on to attend Michigan State University, earning a degree in Advertising and completing a study abroad program in Europe in Mass Media. Soon after she went on to complete her MBA. With these major goals accomplished she realized she still had a strong desire to pursue a career in acting. She had once again been bitten by the acting bug and once her mind was made up there was no turning back! Keiona immediately began training at Detroit Repertory Theatre and has landed numerous memorable roles. Her credits include stageplays: “For Colored Girls” produced by Frankie Darcell, Kamal’s Smith’s “The Ultimatum” and “Cougars”, Vanessa Lynn’s “The Call” and "Boss Lady", Janaya Black’s "The Breaking Point" and several others including "Love Games" and “Why Am I Black” as well as films Loud Pack and Why Do Men Cheat? She also appeared in a commercial for Lucky’s Bar and Grill. Look out for this star on the rise!
