Ms. Holly Eaton

is not only in the process of writing the political dramatic one man play "The Nigger" starring Shiek Mahmud-Bey scheduled for a 2015 run but, her play, Pop Life was part of the 2013 Women’s Work LAB Short Play Festival, held at New Perspectives Theatre. Currently, she continues to work with New Perspectives in their full-length lab. Previously, her short play Five Card Stud was included in the show "Going to the River: River Plays" at Ensemble Studio Theatre in Manhattan. Her one-act plays, Front Stoop and Fifteen Minutes Past the Hour were featured at the Playwright's Slam in NYC, and Fifteen Minutes… went on to become a "Wild Card" choice at the Strawberry One-Act Festival in New York City. 

Holly received her M.F.A. in Playwriting from Adelphi University. Upon receiving her M.F.A., her play Swing was presented in a reading at Second Stage Theater. At Cherry Lane Theatre, Holly was the AD and read stage directions for a workshop production revival of The Fabulous Miss Marie, by Ed Bullins.

She was chosen as a scholarship recipient for the first national meeting of the Black Women Playwrights’ Group held at Loyola University and earned her B.A. in Literature and Creative Writing from Dartmouth College. Holly is currently an adjunct professor in Brooklyn
